Suction Cup Symphony is a high HYPER-famous episode of SpongeBob SquarePants. In this episode, Squidward writes a symphony for a contest, but SpongeBob and Patrick distract him from doing so.

Why This Symphony is Amazing

1. This episode feels brand new by giving Squidward an episode where he writes an orchestrated symphony, which is an episode idea that proves to be good from the start. It doesn't try to copy "Band Geeks" in a lazy manner or make it too similar, it is a thing of its own with a lot of thought put into it.
2. This is an episode from Season 6 that takes a step away from the constant use of Squidward getting unfairly treated by having him work out on writing a musical symphony he wanted to compose for the Symphony Orchestra competition the next day. You can tell he is trying really hard and he quite so becomes sympathetic until the end.
3. It is a pretty funny episode, with many good gags.
4. Squidward makes a face similar to the one in Squid's Day Off.

6. The Symphony itself is filled with great humor, mainly sound effects from SpongeBob and Patrick that are timed perfectly to the symphony, combined with the beautiful composition composed by Gary Stockdale.
7. The ending is amazing, as we think Squidward will get booed at because of SpongeBob and Patrick's antics, but they actually liked it so much, because of both Squid's composition and SpongeBob and Patrick's antics timed perfectly with the music. Squidward winning the Symphony Orchestra competition is very satisfying, although the head exploding is quite disturbing, but at least it does not show the aftermath.
8. Despite Season 6 being the worst season along with Season 7, this is a great example of its first episodes being the best. Arguably, this is the best one, even better than Not Normal, and heck, even better than Sand Castles in the Sand! That's how great this episode is, as it is definitely the season's best episode.

Bad Qualities

1. Patrick's screaming is obnoxious.
2. Depending on your view, SpongeBob and Patrick are a bit unlikeable at the end for distracting Squidward from writing his symphony and not knowing it, driving Squidward insane.
3. While the ending is great, Patrick using the blood pressure pump on Squidward's head, which causes the latter's head to explode, is kind of disturbing, at least it was cut.
